Formed in 2002, our mission is to build a sense of community through art, photography, writing, music and crafts. We do that by bringing our members together with patrons of the arts; by supporting state art projects; and by our members helping young and old alike in their communities, grow in their artistic abilities. We promote our members through our website, exhibitions and shows where they can sell their work to the public. Member meetings are held quarterly. We also sponsor guest instructors to teach classes and workshops for members and the general public. Our Camilla Mead Arts Education Scholarship Fund provides matching scholarships that enable Vermont residents, age 14 through 21, to enhance their growth and education in the arts, crafts, music and writing. The WHAG launched their yearly Fund-raising Raffle to benefit the Camilla Mead Arts Education Scholarship Fund on August 13, 2011. The drawing was held during the presentation and reception for those who created the Christmas Dinner Village.AND THE WINNERS ARE: Lynda Graham-Barber of Newport Center, Vt. and Colleen Belanger of Sutton, Vt.
