I am a self-taught artist who was born, and still resides in Barton, Vermont. I live and paint in a small log cabin surrounded by mountains, located on the farmland where I grew up. My artwork is inspired by the beauty of my Northeast Kingdom home.
My life-long dream has been to create paintings which are beautiful, colorful, and express the happiness in my heart. My inspiration comes not only from nature and my surroundings, but also from various other artists. One of my favorite artists is Georgia O'Keefe. I admire her ability to go deep inside an object and find the heart, whereby on its own is a masterpiece. Another favorite artist is Maxfield Parrish , for his intense colors and realism. His use of sunlight and shadow creates outstanding landscapes which capture all of the treasures in nature.
My watercolors are my vision of the endless beauty and inspiration found in nature. I wish to share that vision with others in hopes of brightening even the smallest portion of their lives.
