The Wooden Horse Arts Guild is again pleased to present “Vibrancy of Pastel Workshop” with Carol Boucher, Fine Artist-teacher. This one-day workshop will take place at the Poulin Building, 160 Railroad Street in North Troy on June 15, 2013 – 10 am to 4 pm. Pastel artists revel in the medium's saturation of color, versatility and flexibility. To get a unique look, many artists create their own surfaces, inspiring the question “How did you do that?”
In this class, you will learn how to create archival, primed and sanded pastel boards. Time will be spent creating art—from imagination/memory and from your own favorite photos (please bring). Though oil pastels are preferred, some time will be spent using chalk pastels (dry pastels).
After a brief slide presentation, Carol will demonstrate techniques and will provide one-on-one attention in this special workshop.
