Frederick Wilson
Painter
Artist Biography:
Frederick Wilson
I was born and grew up in Southeastern Massachusetts. After high school I enlisted in the Marines. After my service time I earned degrees in business management and several certifications while pursuing a 40+ year career in computer technology and business management. In 1987 I spotted a fellow painting “Plein Air”  (painting in the open air).  I stopped and talked to him and he invited me to paint with him. I have been at it ever since, learning and working in a variety of mediums. Other than a few work shops I have had no formal art education and I am currently fortunate enough to be painting with and mentored by artist Robert Pasho, a long time member of the Wooden Horse Arts Guild.  I reside in Newport Center Vermont with Dianne,my wife of 48 years. This was our vacation home for 25 years until moving here permanently in 2006. I hope my art conveys to viewers what the values my mind’s eye sees in my subjects.  I call my studio Skyscraper Art Studio.
