Artist Biography:
Georgia Higley
Georgia Higley is a self-taught Vermont water color artist, formerly from Guilford, now residing in Lowell, Vt.  She previously organized and exhibited at the Exhibition of Guilford Artists sponsored by the Guilford Historical Society.  Her sketches were also published in the Historical Society’s 1991 publication of “Guildford Sketches”.

Georgia studied Japanese Brush Painting with Marty Fiedler and has attended workshops given by Frank Webb, AWS and Zoltan Zsabo, AWS.

The Bryan Gallery in Jeffersonville and the Copley Gallery in Morrisville have each accepted Georgia’s watercolors for exhibition. She has won the Best of Show at the Irasburg Church Fair and several ribbons. The Wooden Horse Arts Guild has been fortunate to have her work on display at their Art and craft shows.

Georgia winters in Magnolia Springs, Alabama, where she has been selected for juried shows at the Eastern Shore Art Gallery in Fairhope and Bay River in Daphne.

“I paint what I love and hope it touches someone else in the same way.”
