Artist Biography:
Josephine Shurtleff (likes to be called Josy), and her husband, Wes, live in Barton, Vt. where they are renovating the Old Barton Golf Club as their year round home. Josy, formerly of Massachusetts, is a multi-talented artist of oils, watercolors and pencil drawings, and more recently the making of porcelain dolls. “I studied the art of oils and watercolors under the tutelage of Fox Run Studios in Mattapoisett, MA. I love to draw and paint, and make porcelain dolls, cloth dolls, rabbits AND Barbie Repaint dolls. I enjoy designing and making the clothing for all my dolls, and I hope that my work will touch those who feel as I do about my creations.” Josy’s dolls can be purchased on her website and are also on display and for sale at Village Treasures in Barton.
