Lynette and Rebecca Johnson
Folk Artists
Artist Biography:
Lynette and Rebecca are mother and daughter who specialize in paintings of original folk art on a variety of surfaces. The Johnsons are 2nd and 3rd generation artists with the first family artist being Lynette's mother, Elizabeth Bowen (1914-73). Elements of her designs are retained in the current basket designs along with Lynette's designs, which are influenced by Pennsylvania folk art. Lynette's baskets and paintings have been sold throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 1983. She took some time off from her painting in 1987 to concentrate on cello performance. In 2003 she resumed painting...now with her daughter, Rebecca. Their work can be seen at arts and crafts shows in Vermont and at the studio, by appointment. All baskets and totes can be customized with subject and color of your choice. Color brochure will be sent on request. To order or for more information, contact the artist:
