Our Mission

The mission of the Wooden Horse Arts Guild in North Troy, Vermont, is that of building the Community through the Arts. Its purpose is to provide an organization and physical space where artists and patrons of the arts may come together in their communities for mutual support, education and commerce.

On Jan. 25, 2008, the Wooden Horse Arts Guild received the long-awaited word from the Internal Revenue Service that the Guild was granted the 501(c)(3) status of the Internal Revenue Code. This was very good news for those who wish to donate to this fast-growing and hard-working art guild. All donations are now tax-deductible under the Internal Revenue Code.

During 2007 we accomplished much as can be seen by this "year-end report":

The Wooden Horse Arts Guild shows and activities reached the end of 2007. Our logo has become familiar to many and lets everyone know when the WHAG is having yet another Art and/or Fine craft show. We accepted our 82nd member of the WHAG! We welcome all persons, whether artists, persons who make fine crafts, or those who enjoy the arts and how they help the community.

We have a Gallery Wall for the artists at the Buon Amici Restaurant in North Troy and a "down-town" window at the Hebard Municipal Building in Newport. These venues are open to all WHAG members. A new "set" of art is on view each month for "Dinner and Art" at the Buon Amici. The Hebard window has a new theme each month under the direction of our excellent committee. Contact us for information about the art and the artists at these venues.
