Artist Biography:
Janice Jordan Rosenberger is a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a speech and language pathologist, genealogy researcher, Vermont history transcriber, thyroid support group moderator, online prayer warrior, piano player and walker.Janice received a Haiku Poem of Merit Award for The R.H. Blyth Award 2007 in the World Haiku Club Competition. Her very first poems were limericks written for the high school newspaper. In 2000, she began to write about personal memories with her mother, in short story format and poetry. She has also edited two books of inspirational poetry. Janice does poetry readings and signings at bookstores and libraries, and is a member of The Poetry Society of Vermont and The League of Vermont Writers. Janice's poetry book, Lion's Tooth, is inspired by the natural beauty of Vermont. Her poems remind us to show respect for living creatures and of the ebb and flow of life's seasons, birth to death. Part 1 of Lion's Tooth includes free verse, prose poetry, prose and rhyming verse. It draws on Janice's recollections of her life, family and personal experiences.
