Carolyn was a manager with a large corporation and subsequently the President of her own corporation in the Washington, DC area. She was also a collector of Baskets and Teddy Bears. Carolyn is now a resident of East Burke, Vermont where she retired with her husband in 1997. Shortly after moving to Vermont, she began Basket Making as a hobby. Her love for Teddy Bears also resulted in taking a couple of classes so she could make her own creations. Her Basket Making and Teddy Bear Creations blossomed into a business and she began to participate in juried craft shows and was invited to put her baskets and bears in numerous shops throughout Vermont and New Hampshire.

She is passing the art and love of basket making unto others as she holds classes in her home, at children’s camps, and at museums. She will also give classes on the art of teddy bear making in her home.
